Magnesia-chromite bricks are refractory products composed mainly of magnesium oxide (MgO) and chromium trioxide (Cr2O3), with forsterite and spinel as their primary mineral components. These bricks have high fire resistance, significant high-temperature strength, strong resistance to alkaline slag erosion, excellent thermal stability, and also exhibit some adaptability to acidic slags. The main raw materials used in manufacturing magnesia-chromite bricks are sintered magnesia sand and chromite ore. The purity of the magnesia sand should be as high as possible, while the chemical composition requirements for chromite ore are: Cr2O3: 30~45%, CaO: ≤1.0~1.5%.
