Mullite bricks refer to high-alumina refractory materials with mullite as the main crystal phase. The general alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to mullite, the mineral composition also contains a small amount of glass phase and quartz with a lower alumina content; the one with a higher alumina content also contains a small amount of corundum. It is mainly used for the top of hot blast furnace, blast furnace body and furnace bottom, glass melting furnace regenerator, ceramic sintering furnace, dead corner lining of petroleum cracking system, etc.
